Sayh al Uhaymir 002 is considered a “Valid” meteorite. “Valid” meteorites are typical meteorites with average weathering, while “relict” meteorites are those that have been extremely altered, either due to weathering over time or human intervention.
Sayh al Uhaymir 002’s official classification is L5/6. The classification “L5/6” refers to ordinary chondrite meteorites from the L group, and they can either be petrologic type 5 or type 6.
